Job summary

Capgemini Government Solutions seeks a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications that support a federal customer.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, ensuring best practices, security, and compliance across multiple instances.

This role requires a Secret clearance, strong JavaScript skills, ITSM knowledge, and experience in Agile environments to deliver reliable, high-value results.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting federal government clients and programs.
• Strong experience developing custom ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript and platform scripting capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implemented solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow applications, modules, and enhancements.
• Work independently and collaboratively as a senior member of a technical delivery team.
• Support multiple ServiceNow instances and domains for internal and external customers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative development efforts.
• Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow design, architecture, development standards, and platform best practices.
• Collaborate with business, systems, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom ServiceNow functionality, workflows, and integrations.
• Create and maintain: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, UI Policies, Catalog Items and Catalog Workflows.
• Support deployment and rollout activities for new applications and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure solutions align with security, governance, and federal compliance requirements.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
