Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the End User Centric IT Support (ECIS) contract for CMS. The role emphasizes configuring, developing, supporting, and maintaining ServiceNow implementations with focus on catalogs, automated workflows, and ITIL processes.

You will work with stakeholders to deliver digital transformation leveraging ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Knowledge, and ITOM using JavaScript and modern web technologies in an Agile Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
• ServiceNow certifications: Application Developer (min 4 years dev) and additional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom workflows using modern web technologies and ServiceNow modules.
• Configure out-of-the-box workflows and maintain custom workflows.
• Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party partners and data sources.

Senior ServiceNow Developer – The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening in support of the End User Centric IT Support (ECIS) Contract for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The program focuses on delivering end‑user centric IT technology solutions to CMS, aiming to provide innovative and seamless experiences while protecting data.

Key responsibilities include the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of ServiceNow implementation. The candidate will work with stakeholders to deliver digital transformation solutions emphasizing request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs, and ITIL processes such as Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop custom workflows using modern web technologies.
• Configure out‑of‑the‑box workflows and maintain custom workflows.
• Integrate ServiceNow applications with third‑party partners.
• Rapidly prototype new solutions.
• Design and develop solutions leveraging ServiceNow modules like ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Knowledge, and ITOM using configuration and custom JavaScript.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Orchestrate and automate tasks.
• Design and build ServiceNow applications and integrations using architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Collaborate on development and enhancements with engineers, analysts, and other team members.
• Maintain documentation best practices throughout ServiceNow development.
• Work closely with business and IT teams to gather input for configuration, implementation, and support.
• Apply UI/UX requirements from internal and external teams to ServiceNow development.
• Develop user‑friendly catalog items and orchestrate workflows such as Content Management and Web Services.
• Follow coding standards, procedures, and techniques while contributing to technical documentation.
• Support data migration as needed.
• Implement solutions following Configuration Management policies and standards.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6–10 years of prior experience (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (minimum 4 years of development).
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
• Proficient in JavaScript/GLIDE, HTML5.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via SOAP or REST web services.
• Experience configuring workflows with the Workflow Editor.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator preferred.
• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification a plus.
• Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, HTML, AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery.
• REST, SOAP, JSON/XML integration experience.
• Self‑starter with strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology.

Location & Travel

All candidates must live in the United States for at least three of the last five years prior to consideration.

Preference will be given to candidates on the East Coast who can travel to the office when needed.
