Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Sr. Software Configuration Analyst to configure and maintain generation-related vendor software, including ServiceNow. You will lead integration of COTS solutions, guide best practices, and collaborate with business units to optimize processes and data flows.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, system design, and improving software quality while working within an Agile environment to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Engineering with 4+ years of software configuration/maintenance experience.
• Associate's degree with 6+ years of related work experience in configuration and maintenance.
• High School Diploma with 8+ years of related experience in software configuration and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts or components within vendor solutions to enable automation and enhancements.
• Gather business requirements and evaluate solutions ensuring alignment with goals and integration with existing systems.
• Make architectural decisions and lead integration of COTS solutions across the tech stack for scalability and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Improve COTS solution quality throughout the software lifecycle with best practices and innovations.
• Design and administer application systems using database principles and data modeling.
