Job summary

LightFeather is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering and process design for federal agency clients. You will bridge federal business stakeholders and our development teams, translating complex mission needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions while enforcing compliance with federal standards.

This is a full-time, remote position (EST hours) requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Business or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years on ServiceNow.
Experience in federal contracting space (DoD, DHS, or Civilian agencies).

Responsibilities

Lead client workshops and focus groups to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate high-level business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs in Agile/Scrum.
Conduct gap analysis between legacy processes and ServiceNow out-of-the-box functionality.
Collaborate with the Agile Coach to design and document new processes and SOPs for ServiceNow delivery.
Review all user stories for readiness before sprint planning.
Provide guidance to junior developers/analysts on federal domain constraints and best practices.
Conduct peer reviews of designs and test scripts to ensure quality.
Develop process maps, workflows, and data models for end-to-end service delivery.
Advise stakeholders on ServiceNow best practices to minimize unnecessary customization.
Ensure designs adhere to federal IT standards including 508 and FISMA/NIST controls.
Develop and execute UAT plans with test scripts and sessions.
Create federal-grade deliverables like SOPs, User Guides, and Training decks.
