Job summary

Alliance Security, a New York Tri-State leader in engineering, installation, and service of high-end security systems, seeks a Senior Service Technician. You will install and service CCTV, access control, and related technologies, test systems, troubleshoot networking, and coordinate with the Installation Services Manager to ensure top-tier client service.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years in security tech, a relevant degree or certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in the security technology industry.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in security technology.
• Strong knowledge of video, access control, intercom, intrusion, visitor management, turnstiles and network devices.
• Certifications: AMAG, Genetec, LenelS2, Exacq, Brivo & Eagle Eye.
• Strong networking fundamentals and IT principles.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install or service security systems including CCTV, Web-Based and Cloud-Based security.
• Test, adjust, and troubleshoot security systems and related equipment.
• Resolve firewall configurations and networking developments.
• Update CRM and document installation/service activities.
• Coordinate planning and installation with the Manager of Installation Services.
• Act as liaison between client and Installation Services Manager.
• Support the service department as needed.

Alliance Security is a New York Tri-State leader providing Engineering, Installation and Service/Repair of high-end security systems and solutions for a premier portfolio of clientele. Alliance Security is currently looking to fill the position of Senior Service Technician. The role will perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities which consist of coordinating, planning, and installing video surveillance technologies – CCTV, and access control security technologies. This position will report to the Manager of Installation Services - Alliance Security

Responsibilities

• Install or service new and existing security systems, including Web-Based and Cloud-Based Security and CCTV Systems
• Test, adjust, and troubleshoot security systems and related equipment/hardware
• Ability to test and troubleshoot low-voltage continuity issues
• Resolve Firewall Configurations/Networking System Developments
• Handle various emails, phone calls from other team members and the management team, work orders, paperwork, and perform job planning activities
• Make recommendations for security system enhancements
• Act as liaison between client and Manager of Installation Services
• Assist the service department as needed
• Excellent Customer Service and Time Management Skills
• Update and manage CRM software to document installation/service activities

Requirements

• Experience: 3-10 year
• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree preferred
• Minimum of two (3) years’ experience in the security technology industry
• Strong knowledge of security concepts and technology platforms; Video, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, Visitor Management, turnstiles, and network devices
• Successfully maintain certification training; AMAG, Genetec, LenelS2, Exacq, Brivo & Eagle Eye
• Strong fundamentals of networking technologies and Information Technology principles
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and overtime
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive a company-provided commercial vehicle. Will maintain vehicle at residence and commute to/from job locations
