Job Description

The Senior Service Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical support, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for metrology equipment and systems at our Exton location. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex service operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of metrology equipment.
• Document all service activities, including calibration reports, service records, and troubleshooting steps.
• Create and maintain technical documentation ensuring quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, improve methods, perform equipment maintenance, and introduce new equipment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team and independently.
• Work hours: 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metrology, or related field with 5+ years of experience; M.S. preferred.
• Knowledge of Hamilton, INTEGRA, LynX, Tecan, Tomtec, etc.
• Strong background in calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of metrology equipment.
• Deep understanding of metrology principles and measurement standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in data recording and analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong learning ability.
