Job summary

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) seeks a Service Coordinator II to lead a residential program in Norwich, CT. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and uphold regulatory standards while delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least two years leadership experience in a recovery or residential program
• Valid Driver's License with ability to drive an agency vehicle
• CPR Certification required within 6 months of employment
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Supervise and develop staff, including recovery technicians, case managers, and recovery coaches
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and SCADD values
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including after-hours work

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development
• Orient and train new staff on residence-specific technology, systems, required documentation, and client support
• Create schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing levels for each shift in alignment with regulations
• Facilitate and oversee the medication self-administration process and ensure regulatory compliance
• Ensure client medications are available and properly disposed of at discharge per residence protocols
• Manage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems quickly and safely
• Identify and report incidents and potential risk situations with proper documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, licensing, and regulatory standards
• Provide direct care as needed to meet licensing and regulatory requirements
• Orient clients to the residence and review program rules and regulations
• Provide on-call support and respond to crises, including after-hours
• Collaborate with leadership to monitor census forecasts and staffing patterns
• Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing staff development
• Attend on-site and off-site meetings and training as required
