Job summary

Super Micro Computer is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Validation Engineer to lead validation efforts for next-generation server platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance through rigorous testing and analysis.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware validation in server or data center environments, strong scripting skills (Python, Perl), and experience with lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in hardware validation, preferably in server/data center environments.
• Proficiency with test automation scripting (Python, Perl).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for server hardware including CPU, memory, storage, networking, and power subsystems
• Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to streamline validation processes.
• Perform Signal Integrity, stress and interoperability testing
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with design and firmware teams to resolve issues
• Document validation procedures, test cases, and results for internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies
