Job summary

Upturn Co. is seeking a Senior Server Administrator to lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise server environments.

You will ensure reliability, security, and performance across mission-critical applications, databases, and network services while collaborating with network, security, and application teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in IT/CS or equivalent experience, at least seven years of hands-on enterprise server management, and strong expertise in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years managing enterprise server environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production systems in large orgs or government.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments and related enterprise services.
• Manage and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Monitor server performance, availability, and system health to ensure optimal operations.
• Implement and maintain server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform server patch management, updates, and system hardening.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, system failures, and performance problems.
• Support Active Directory services, group policies, and identity management systems.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure infrastructure security and compliance.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
• Assist with server upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
