Job summary

Agile Defense, LLC is seeking a senior server administrator to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across OpenShift, Kubernetes, and VMware environments at Redstone Arsenal. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, security compliance, and collaboration across cybersecurity, networking, and development teams.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Secret clearance (start) with Security+ce within 6 months, and have 7+ years of progressive systems administration experience,

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
• Security+ce certification to be obtained within 6 months.
• 7+ years of progressive systems administration or platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes environments.
• Experience deploying GitOps using Argo CD and Git.
• Extensive VMware virtualization experience (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, VCF).
• Proficiency with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD and declarative configurations.
• Manage containerized applications, networking, storage, and RBAC security.
• Administer VMware vSphere, vSAN, and VCF environments for enterprise workloads.
• Deploy and support enterprise applications including IIS-hosted apps.
• Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, and security baselines.
• Lead automation efforts using PowerShell, Bash, YAML, and IaC tools.
