Job summary

A Sentencing Guideline Coordinator is responsible for preparing all sentencing guidelines forms which will be relied upon by prosecutors when constructing plea offers, defense attorneys to convey possible penalties to their clients and judges when constructing and imposing sentence.

The Senior Guideline Coordinator oversees others, stays informed about changes to the law, and helps implement policy and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sentencing guidelines forms used by prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges.
• Determine prior history, appropriate ranges, enhancements, and mandatory provisions.
• Enter data into SGS Web and redact discovery as needed.
• Assist with Rapid Resolution Court files and training of staff.
• Stay current with sentencing laws and coordinate policy updates.
