Job summary

Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Capstone and College Access Teacher to lead the Senior Seminar and manage a caseload of 40–50 seniors through the college-going process.

The role includes maintaining the Senior Defense experience, coordinating with staff and alumni, and guiding students through applications, essays, and financial aid. A 12-month commitment with evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree; strong preference for master’s in related field.
• Experience in college admissions or access work is preferred.
• Ability to teach writing, manage multiple deadlines, and engage families.

Responsibilities

• Teach Senior Seminar as a year-long course and oversee the Senior Defense.
• Lead full-cycle college advising for 40–50 seniors, including list building and deadlines.
• Guide FAFSA/CSS Profile completion, scholarship search, and interviews.
• Coordinate visits, college fairs, and campus tours with partners.
• Track applications, admissions decisions, and financial aid in the counseling platform.
