About us: Critical Point has served Philadelphia Main Line families for over a decade with one-on-one test preparation and college consulting. We're a small team with 223 five-star Google reviews and a growing consulting practice - which is why we're adding our first associate consultant.

The role: You'll guide your own caseload of students and families through the college process - building balanced college lists, shaping application strategy, coaching personal statements and supplements, and keeping everyone calm and on-deadline through application season. Your caseload comes to you: no marketing, no sales, no billing. Meetings are virtual, with in-person available at our Wayne office if you're local.

What you'll do: Lead recurring meetings with students and parents; develop college lists and application strategies; coach essays from brainstorm through final draft; track deadlines and milestones; write brief session summaries in our CRM; coordinate with our test-prep team so testing and admissions planning stay aligned.

Who you are: 5+ years in college counseling - a high school counseling office, university admissions, or independent practice; fluent in selective admissions, testing strategy, and the Common App; a genuinely good essay coach; warm with teenagers and credible with parents. Retired or transitioning school counselors are strongly encouraged to apply. Main Line-area candidates are a plus, though not required. PACAC/NACAC/IECA/HECA affiliation is a plus.

Schedule & pay: Roughly 5-15 hours/week to start, growing with your caseload; seasonal peaks in fall (essays) and winter (junior launches). Most meetings land late afternoon/evening. Part-time 1099 position at $100/hour, with growth as your caseload builds. Onboarding this fall; first full caseload begins in January.
