Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Commodity Manager for Devices Supply Chain & Logistics in Sunnyvale, CA.

You will own the AVL, drive supplier lifecycle, and lead cost-reduction initiatives across semiconductor components for multiple programs, from pre-concept to EVT/DVT, collaborating with architecture, engineering, NPI, and legal teams. You will analyze market drivers, negotiate favorable terms, and manage risk mitigation while guiding cross-functional teams to meet technical and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.
• 5+ years direct experience in supplier/supply chain management, with strong knowledge of the semiconductor industry, IC manufacturing and packaging processes and key suppliers.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis and supplier performance management.
• Knowledge of AI, ERP and procurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive commodity technology roadmap aligning business needs with supplier capabilities.
• Own the AVL and lead supplier lifecycle from selection to performance evaluation.
• Analyze market drivers, cost structures, and technical innovations to mitigate risks.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives through analysis and value engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering to influence design decisions for cost/performance.
• Lead supplier evaluations and periodic business reviews with senior leadership.
• Interface with Planning and Program Management to assess sourcing requirements.
• Travel to supplier sites to drive cost reductions and supplier development.
