Job summary

Amazon Robotics in the Greater Boston area seeks a Sr. Global Commodity Manager for Silicon to lead supplier relationships and global sourcing strategy across CPU/GPU/FPGA components.

You will shape roadmaps, collaborate with engineering, and drive cost/lead time reductions while ensuring supply chain readiness for scaling robotics hardware. The role requires extensive experience in electronics sourcing, NPI programs, and building strong vendor networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, and supplier management in a high-volume, global manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of direct experience working with a global supply base of the relevant commodity.
• Ability to review and understand engineering requirements and design documents for mechanical and electro-mechanical parts.
• Experience developing, leading, and executing global supplier cost, risk, and lead time reduction strategies.
• Demonstrated use of technical, analytical, and management skills to lead RFQs, supplier selection, supplier capacity planning, and supplier risk identification/mitigation in NPI programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships including performance, capacity planning, contracting, analytics, risk mitigation, and cost/quality improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and programs on new product introductions to define requirements.
• Develop mechanisms to communicate forecasts and capacity for sustaining and new products.
• Support purchasing by monitoring supplier performance and addressing issues.
• Align supplier strategies to Robotics objectives for current and new products.
• Develop commodity and supplier technology roadmaps aligning requirements with capabilities.
• Maintain monthly supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly executive reviews.
• Travel to suppliers' domestic and international sites ~25%.
