Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) in Morrisville, NC seeks a Senior Process Engineer to own and optimize semiconductor process areas.

You will lead development, troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation, partnering with integration and equipment teams to deliver robust, scalable process flows in a fast-growing, startup-like environment. The role emphasizes deep knowledge in CMP, Metal Deposition, Dielectric or Dry Etch, and a hands-on approach in a fully gowned cleanroom, with on-site work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, physical science, mathematics, or another relevant STEM discipline.
• 10+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience with depth in CMP, Metal Plating, Dry Etch, Dielectric Deposition, or Metal Deposition.
• Hands-on experience with tooling and process fundamentals for targeted modules (wafer polishers, grinders, ICP Dry Etch, deposition tools).
• Experience supporting new process development, transfer, or optimization in a semiconductor fab or development environment.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process problems.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations and communicate across technical and nontechnical groups.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite in Morrisville, North Carolina in a fully gowned cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned fab process area and its tools as the primary engineering contact for performance, issues, and improvements.
• Lead process development, optimization, qualification, and documentation of new semiconductor processes using Quality Methods.
• Translate technical requirements into process plans, experiments, data collection strategies, and executable flows.
• Plan and execute demonstrations of new products and processes; evaluate results and recommend next steps.
• Apply DOE, analyze data, and use statistics to evaluate process capability, yield, and control.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, specifications, recipes, and wafer/lot records.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, operators, and technicians.
• Troubleshoot tool-related process issues with equipment teams and support stable operations.
• Lead cross-functional process development and continuous improvement across modules.
• Interface effectively with operators, engineers, management, suppliers.
• Maintain a safe cleanroom environment and follow waste/disposal requirements.
