Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. in Morrisville, NC seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead assigned semiconductor fabrication processes, development, and improvements in CMP, metal deposition, and related modules.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor process engineering, hands-on tooling experience, DOE/SPC knowledge, and onsite cleanroom work. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive process capability and yield improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, physical science, mathematics, or another relevant STEM discipline.
• 10+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience with depth in CMP, Metal Plating, Dry Etch, Dielectric Deposition, or Metal Deposition.
• Hands-on experience with tooling and process fundamentals for at least one targeted module (polishers, grinders, deposition tools, etc).
• Experience with data analysis, Quality Methods, DOE, Process Capability, and SPC principles.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned fab process area and its tools; serve as primary engineering contact for performance, issues and improvements.
• Lead process development, qualification, and documentation of new semiconductor processes and unit operations.
• Collaborate with integration engineering to translate requirements into process plans and experiments.
• Plan and execute demonstrations of new products and processes; evaluate results and propose next steps.
• Apply DOE, analyze data, and use statistics to improve process capability, yield, and control.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, recipes, and wafer/lot records.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Troubleshoot tool-related process issues with equipment teams; not primarily responsible for hands-on maintenance.
