Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. is seeking an Equipment Engineering Technician for the Diffusion area in Newport Beach, CA. You will perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on diffusion equipment and help maximize production availability.

You will work with Production and Engineering, guide junior technicians, and lead process improvement initiatives, while analyzing failures and driving robust solutions in a fast-paced fab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Electronics or equivalent
• 5+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry
• Strong knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems, electrical theory, vacuum and pneumatics, and troubleshoot to component level
• Direct working experience with Applied Materials and Novellus platforms is desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on diffusion equipment
• Lead and guide lower-level technicians and set priorities for the shift
• Interface with Production and Engineering to resolve process-related issues
• Develop and implement improved maintenance procedures and systems
• Lead major technical projects and mentor technical staff
