Job summary

Tower Semiconductor in California is seeking an experienced technician to perform wiring, calibration, and preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment in the Diffusion area. You will lead shift priorities, guide technicians, and interface with Production and Engineering to solve process issues.

The role requires an AS in Electronics and 5+ years in the semiconductor industry. You will analyze failures, develop maintenance procedures, train staff, and work in a fab clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
• 5+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics, electrical circuits, motor control, and test procedures.
• Direct working experience with Applied Materials Producer and Novellus equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment in the Diffusion area.
• Lead and direct shift activities, set priorities, and provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
• Interface with Production and Engineering to resolve process-related issues and drive improvements.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and propose innovative technical solutions or new methods.
