Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking an Equipment Engineering Technician 2 for the Dry Etch area.

You will perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment, with leadership responsibilities to guide shift activities and prioritize work. Collaborate with Production and Engineers to troubleshoot process issues, mentor lower-level technicians, and interface with vendors to resolve equipment failures; this role requires independent

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent.
• 5+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Must have demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance and be able to work with minimal or no assistance.
• Direct working experience with at least one of the listed toolsets is required: TEL Unity, LAM 2300 - 9400 PTX, Fusion, Applied Materials DPS Metal, Applied Materials DPS Poly, Applied Materials EMAX Oxide, Applied Materials MxP+ Oxide, Applied Materials MxP+ Oxide, Applied Materials Super-E platforms. Applied Materials Producer systems experience is also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment in the Dry Etch area.
• Provide leadership by evaluating maintenance requirements to ensure maximum equipment availability.
• Interface with Production and Engineers to identify and resolve process-related issues, and mentor lower level technicians.
• Lead/direct the activities of area shift pass-downs and set priorities based on production requirements.
