Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve manufacturing equipment in a brand-new facility in California. You will collaborate with Shift Operations, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors to ensure optimal tool performance and uptime.

Responsibilities include addressing preventive maintenance needs, identifying performance gaps, maintaining cleanroom standards, leading improvement projects, and participating in vendor trainings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics or 2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts with rotating day/night schedules.
• 2+ years performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• 2+ years using mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to fix equipment.
• 4+ years leading projects related to equipment maintenance and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to address preventive maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements while documenting deviations.
• Maintain cleanroom order and proper storage to ensure tool readiness.
• Lead projects to improve equipment availability and performance.
• Attend Micron/vendor training to enhance understanding of semiconductor tools.
