Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Shift Equipment Technician to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced semiconductor equipment in a fast-paced clean room environment in Boise, Idaho. You will collaborate with production, sustaining teams, engineers and vendors to improve tool performance and product quality.

This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, safety focus, and commitment to continuous improvement, including PMs, repairs, data-driven problem solving, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or relevant military/technical background.
• Experience troubleshooting automated semiconductor clean room manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, electronic components, and mechanical systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, interpret, create, and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and improve clean room manufacturing equipment sets to maximize uptime and performance.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment repairs with minimal production impact.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, software, and process-related equipment issues using data-driven methods.
• Collaborate with production, sustaining teams, engineers, and vendors to resolve tool issues and improve performance.
• Document equipment status, maintenance records, and shift pass-down communications accurately.
