Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) drywall and related trades on complex construction projects in the Atlanta area. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, risk, and field coordination, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of project management experience on specialty scopes such as drywall and related trades.
• Strong knowledge of interior construction systems (metal framing, drywall, ceilings).
• Proven leadership to supervise teams and manage field activities.
• Experience with labor management (union or non-union) preferred.
• Solid grasp of cost, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and accounting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate management of SPO drywall and trades projects from start to close.
• Set up budgets, SOVs, and submittal processes; manage procurement for long-lead items.
• Lead weekly production meetings and drive improvements with the Superintendent.
• Develop and maintain master schedules; communicate obligations to trades and vendors.
• Identify change conditions, estimate changes, and obtain owner approvals.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety policies, and ethics programs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance feedback for team members.
• Collaborate with EH&S, finance, and operations to ensure timely pay apps and payments.
