Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead and contribute to sediment remediation projects for federal, public sector clients and various stakeholders. The role involves evaluating remediation technologies, designing solutions for riverine, coastal, and port settings, and coordinating with clients and field teams.

Ideal candidates have strong executive communication, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of CERCLA and related regulatory steps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering and PE license required.
• 7 years of related experience. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation solutions for various settings.
• Understand sediment and contaminant transport, site assessment, and remedial design concepts.
• Support statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Lead project components as task manager, communicating strategy to clients and SME teams.
• Engage with regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with CERCLA and related programs.
• Guide and review technical work to ensure regulatory conformity.
