Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Systems Technician to join our Baltimore team. This hands-on role focuses on installation, service, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems on-site with on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field experience, a Maryland security systems technician license, and a valid driver's license. Flexible shifts and a sign-on bonus are offered to support project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Maryland security systems technician license.
• High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and rotating on-call coverage.
• Comfortable working in retail environments during evening hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, modify, and test access control, CCTV, and alarm system hardware.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cable and wiring, electronic door locks, card readers, door position switches, request-to-exit detectors, cameras, and related hardware.
• Test systems with specialized equipment and correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot alarm and monitoring circuits in a live field environment.
• Perform emergency repairs and respond to on-call service needs.
• Install and relocate security equipment at customer sites.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend expansion, modification, or replacement.
• Maintain accurate equipment, installation, and inventory records.
• Operate power and hand tools to install and repair electronic equipment.
• Identify cable, wiring, and components using standard industry color codes.
• Safely transport and operate a company-owned electric scissor lift and trailer.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and properly store equipment.

It’s a fit for an experienced technician with 5+ years installing, maintaining, and repairing access control, CCTV, and alarm systems who’s ready to take on complex installs, system evaluations, and on‑call responsibility.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites


• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and rotating on‑call coverage (scheduled in advance where possible)


• Comfortable working in retail environments during evening hours as needed

Physical Requirements

• Move equipment weighing up to 70 lbs with a hand truck, including distances up to 100 feet


• Safely operate a scissor lift and work at heights


• Distinguish colors for standard cable and wiring color codes


• Work in varied environments, indoors and on customer sites
