Job summary

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee guards, ensure posts are manned, and enforce post orders to safeguard lives and property.

You will train security personnel across multiple sites, conduct random inspections, maintain accurate reports, and coordinate replacements while minimizing overtime. The role requires strong communication and a proactive approach in a fast-paced security environment.

Qualifications

• Active security guard license is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 12 months of security operations supervisory experience.
• Valid unrestricted state driver’s license.
• Knowledge of general safety and legal standards in protection of people and facilities.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Available for various shifts, including weekends.
• Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and unannounced visits to multiple Dunbar Guard sites during tours.
• Ensure guards wear proper uniforms and posts are manned per post orders and policies.
• Ensure compliant staffing, guard training, and manage uniform inventory.
• Provide prompt customer service to clients and management; resolve concerns.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Coordinate replacements when needed to minimize overtime and fill open posts.
• Document incidents and take appropriate action for violations.
• Pickup and deliver documents to Dunbar sites.
• Other duties as required.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECURITY GUARD LICENSE

Summary/Objective: Dunbar Security Field Supervisor is responsible for conducting random post inspections and ensuring guards are in proper uniform, all posts are manned and guarded in accordance with existing post orders to assure security of life and property. Also responsible for training security guards at various sites.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct periodic and unannounced visits to multiple operational Dunbar Guard sites during respective tour of duty. Address any problems or concerns as well as provide instruction on procedure as needed.
• Ensure all guards are in proper uniforms, all posts are manned and being guarded in accordance with existing post orders and Dunbar rules, regulations and policies.
• Ensure compliant staffing, guard training, and managing uniform inventory and controls.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service to all internal and external customers. Interact with clients and management to address and resolve concerns.
• Prepare accurate and thorough reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, conflict encounters or unusual occurrences.
• Receive call offs and review work schedules to identify a replacement for that assignment while attempting to keep overtime at a minimum. In the event of an open post, the field supervisor is to fill that post until relieved.
• Comply with all state licensure and certification requirements as well as company standards related to the operation of vehicles, performing guard functions, and in the carry and use of firearms.
• Once aware of any unusual occurrences or violations of Dunbar rules, regulations, or policies, the Field Supervisor is required to document the incident and initiate appropriate action, including disciplinary action, if necessary.
• Pick-up and delivery of any documents or other materials which must be delivered to or retrieved from a Dunbar site.
• Other duties as required.
• Required Education and Experience:
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must have 12 months of security operations supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted state driver’s license within the jurisdiction in which the company operates and maintain current license with a good driving record.
• Must have knowledge and application of general safety and legal standard associated with protection of people and facilities.
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate with customers and communicate with base location via phone and/or two-way radio.
• Be self-motivated and work without direct supervision.
• Experience with working in an essential service environment is a plus.
• Be available to work various shifts as required and assigned.
• Shifts: Split Shift Weekly Schedule
• Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
• Ability to function well in a team environment.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Physical Demands: Sit, stand, and walk for required periods of time.
