Job summary

Versa Networks is seeking a Sr. Security Solutions Engineer to help customers evaluate, adopt, and expand our Secure SD-WAN, SSE, and SASE technology portfolio.

You will lead technical pre-sales, design reviews, and hands-on proofs-of-concept with enterprise and service-provider clients. The role requires strong German language skills, extensive WAN/LAN and cloud security knowledge, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/OpenStack/VMware.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in German.
• Experience planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• Knowledge on cloud security with FWaaS, DLP, CASB, RBI and malware prevention solutions.
• Knowledge on technologies used in the security scene: proxies, SSL/TLS, VPNs, Active Directory/SAML/LDAP, threat prevention and mitigation.
• Understanding networking and security architectures on the SASE framework.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.
• Knowledge on WAN technologies and protocols like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, Multicast.
• Experience architecting/managing large-scale, high-performing enterprise networking and security solutions.
• Knowledge of Linux administration.
• Hands-on experience with public/private cloud tech like AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware.
• Shell and Python scripting knowledge.
• Must be authorized to work in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to customers and partners to achieve sales targets.
• Establish trusted advisory role with CIOs and CISOs at strategic customers and partners.
• Enable and update partner network on product evolution.
• Conduct workshops with prospects or customers on product evaluations and demonstrations.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate proof-of-concept setups, designs, and deployments.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs.
• Provide market and product feedback to product management and back-office.
• Stay up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and services.
• Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing content.
