Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer for Starlink in Redmond. You will influence security across product lines, design cryptographic services, and build security features for satellites, gateways, and ground systems.

Requires extensive security software experience and OS/distributed systems expertise. You will collaborate with multiple teams to enhance security posture, respond to threats, and drive secure-by-design practices across SpaceX infrastructure and Starlink

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/related field and 8+ years in security software development; or 10+ years without degree.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Experience designing security for OS, distributed systems, or large infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services support.
