Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer for Starlink to design and build security infrastructure across Starlink systems, including cryptographic services for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; 8+ years of professional security software development experience, or 10+ years without a degree.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Experience designing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and security-critical components.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems, including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
• Integrate security into factory processes and support network services for this.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance to other teams.
• Prototype and test security improvements.
