Job summary

General Motors Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable integration services across GM's cyber ecosystem. You will build AI-powered workflows and robust connectors that accelerate detection, triage, and risk management.

Partner with SecOps, SOC, Platform and Data teams to drive architecture, lead technical design reviews, and mentor engineers. You will ensure CI/CD readiness, testing, and reliable production performance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software security engineering experience.
• Proficiency in API development, microservices, event streaming.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery.
• Hands-on with security tooling integrations (SIEM, EDR, SSPM).
• Proven AI integration experience (LLM agents, embeddings, RAG).
• Cloud proficiency (Azure/AWS/GCP) and IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM/CloudFormation).
• Data engineering fluency: ETL/ELT, JSON/YAML; understanding of schemas.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and delivery for complex integration services with production SLIs/SLOs.
• Build AI-driven workflows that augment investigations, triage, and orchestration.
• Create reusable connectors bridging SIEM/EDR/IAM/SSPM/ITDR/ITSM and cloud telemetry.
