Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Security Risk Analyst to identify, assess, monitor, and report on operational, security, and compliance risks with a focus on automation of risk workflows using Python/APIs and AI agents.

You will partner with risk owners and cross‑functional teams to mature risk governance, track KRIs and KPIs, and apply frameworks such as ISO, NIST CSF, PCI, and COSO to strengthen Okta's security posture. The role is challenging, fast-paced, and pivotal to safeguarding critical assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of hands-on security risk management and technical experience.
• Hands-on experience building automated workflows, scripts (Python/APIs), and AI agentic solutions.
• Security certifications (CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP) or equivalent.
• Experience with ISO, PCI, NIST CSF, COSO and other frameworks.
• Third‑Party Risk Management experience preferred.
• Strong stakeholder influence and experience with agile/GRC tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and report on operational, security, and compliance risks.
• Drive automation across risk lifecycle with AI agents, workflows, and Python scripts.
• Evaluate control effectiveness, track deficiencies, and drive remediation to closure.
• Conduct root cause analysis on control deficiencies and post-incident reviews.
• Partner with risk owners to develop mitigation plans aligned with strategy.
• Govern the risk acceptance and exception process.
• Manage risk register and issue lifecycle for leadership visibility.
• Apply industry best practices for risk management and regulatory alignment.
• Build cross-functional partnerships to unify security, compliance, and risk.
• Serve as SME on security controls, regulations, and risk-informed design.
