Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Security Risk Analyst to identify, assess, and report on security and compliance risks across the organization. You will drive automated workflows and AI-enabled risk management, evaluate controls, and partner with risk owners to remediate gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of hands-on security risk management and technical experience.
• Experience building automated workflows, scripts (Python/APIs), and AI agentic solutions.
• Industry certification in security (CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of regulations and frameworks (ISO, PCI, NIST CSF, COSO).
• Preferred experience in Third-Party Risk Management and vendor security assessments.
• Track record of influencing technical and business stakeholders to drive remediation.
• Strong knowledge of agile tools and GRC solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and report on operational, security, and compliance risks.
• Drive automation across risk management using AI agents and workflows to scale operations.
• Evaluate security control effectiveness and drive remediation to closure.
• Conduct root cause analysis on control deficiencies and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with risk owners to develop mitigation plans.
• Govern risk acceptance and exception processes.
• Manage risk register and issue lifecycle for leadership visibility.
• Advise on regulatory and industry frameworks to Okta's security posture.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive remediation to closure.
• Develop data analytics workflows and KRIs/KPIs for executive reporting.
• Refine risk assessment playbooks and procedures.
• Advance risk governance to align with company goals.
