Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to investigate in-the-wild exploits and support intelligence analysis. This role focuses on vulnerability exploitation techniques, reverse engineering, and developing automation tools to enhance detection and mitigation across CrowdStrike’s threat landscape.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong writing, briefing abilities, and experience with Python and AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms (including Windows).
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems for adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities to detect exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting.
