Job summary

Aurora seeks a Senior Staff Security Product Architect to drive end-to-end security across Aurora’s autonomous vehicle platform, hardware system controls, embedded systems, and connected cloud services.

You will lead threat modeling, design reviews, and collaborate with Product, Software and Hardware teams to translate requirements into robust engineering designs while guiding security strategy and governance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in security architecture or related roles in automotive or embedded systems.
• Deep expertise in embedded security principles, Secure Boot, TrustZone, HSMs/TPMs.
• Experience with architectural assessments, threat modeling, and design reviews.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define End-to-End Security Onboard and Offboard Architecture across vehicle hardware, onboard systems, and cloud services.
• Lead Threat Modeling & Design Reviews for complex autonomous systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product, Software, and Hardware teams to translate requirements into designs.
• Engage with suppliers and Tier 1 partners to meet Aurora’s cybersecurity standards.
• Build security roadmaps partnering with PMs and engineers to resolve dependencies.
• Embed security assurance, governance, and risk mitigation in all product lifecycles.
