Job summary

Aurora is hiring a Senior Staff Security Product Architect to drive end-to-end security across its autonomous vehicle platform, hardware systems, embedded software, and cloud services. You will bridge Security, System Engineering, and Product teams with deep architectural vision and hands-on execution.

Role requires extensive experience in embedded security, cryptography, secure protocols, and hardware security modules.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in security architecture within automotive, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, or complex hardware/software
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related STEM field
• Deep technical domain expertise in embedded security principles, hardware security anchors (Secure Boot, ARM TrustZone, HSMs, TPMs), applied cryptography, and secure protocol design

Responsibilities

• Define End-to-End Security Onboard and Offboard Architecture across vehicle hardware, onboard systems, and cloud interactions.
• Lead threat modeling and vulnerability analysis for autonomous cloud and compute systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Software, and Hardware teams to translate security requirements into engineering designs.
• Engage with suppliers and Tier-1 partners to ensure third-party components meet Aurora’s cybersecurity standards.
• Build security roadmaps with program management and engineers to align investments with design patterns.
• Embed security assurance, governance, and risk mitigation across hardware and software lifecycles.
