Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Security Platform to design and build backend systems that securely process customer data. You will own authentication, authorization, and privacy-preserving operations across Robinhood’s platform, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to strengthen protections and enable new product capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/data/security engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience building/operating services in AWS/Kubernetes.
• Familiar with distributed systems (PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake).
• Understanding encryption and privacy-focused system design.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and data pipelines securely store/process data.
• Develop token issuance, user authentication, and anonymization systems.
• Define and execute authentication vision across next‑gen AI platforms and MCP ecosystems.
• Implement data retention/deletion workflows per CCPA/GDPR.
• Partner with access management engineers to enforce least-privilege controls.
• Contribute to monitoring/auditing systems for data access/use.
