Expedia Group is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to design and operationalize security platforms across a large travel technology platform. You will embed controls into high-velocity engineering workflows and partner with AI and cloud teams to drive secure software delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation of zero-trust, CI/CD security, and cross-functional collaboration to ship secure systems that scale globally.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive, hands-on cybersecurity experience at enterprise scale.
• Deep, practitioner-level AWS expertise with security services.
• Proven track record delivering SDLC security architecture across large engineering orgs.
• Hands-on implementation experience with service mesh architectures — mTLS and zero-trust.

Responsibilities

• Design security platforms, reusable services, and architectures used at scale.
• Implement security tooling integrations and enforceable policy-as-code controls.
• Operate AWS native security controls and CSPM/DSPM programs at enterprise scale.
• Embed security early in AI development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines.
