Job summary

Expedia Group in Seattle is seeking a Principal Security Operations Analyst to lead complex security analyses, detect and respond to sophisticated threats, and drive measurable risk reduction across our global environments.

You will design and optimize incident response workflows, partner with engineering and product teams, develop advanced analytics and dashboards, and mentor teams while safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve detection and response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or related field.
• Extensive hands-on security operations experience in large-scale environments.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end monitoring, alerting and incident handling.
• Strong expertise with SIEM, EDR, log management and security analytics.
• Familiarity with AI-driven security tools and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security operations analyses to detect, investigate, and respond to threats.
• Design, optimize, and standardize security monitoring and incident response workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering, incident management and product teams to translate findings into requirements.
• Develop analytics, detections, dashboards, and reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor teams and promote best practices in log management and investigation techniques.
