Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Security Operations Lead to monitor security events, manage incidents, and drive forensic investigations across AWS and GCP. You will coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to contain threats and minimize business impact.

The role emphasizes developing runbooks, automating workflows in Python, mentoring analysts, and communicating findings to executives. A CS/InfoSec degree or equivalent experience is required, with on‑call duties and flexible remote/hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, FedRAMP and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts.
• Lead information security incidents and investigations by developing and executing IR strategy.
• Coordinate services, capabilities, and integrations to support security operations and incident response.
• Mentor security operation engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Communicate investigative findings to technical staff, executives, and legal.
• Develop runbooks and automated workflows; build tools in Python.
