Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Security Incident Response professional to monitor, investigate, and respond to security events. The role emphasizes coordinating across teams, guiding incident response, and implementing effective security workflows.

As part of the Security Operations Team, you will influence across the organization, mentor engineers, and help advance insider threat initiatives while maintaining a focus on customer trust and operational resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Incident Response.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical staff, executives, and legal.
• Ability to build scripts or tools, with Python.
• Mentor security operation engineers on data collection and reporting.
• Lead during incident response, monitoring and triage of alerts.
• Understanding of forensics on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Experience with SIEM tools for log reviews.
• Experience in cloud security (AWS, GCP).
• Role location aligned to US Pacific/Mountain/Central Time Zones.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts.
• Lead security incidents and employee investigations; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Deliver security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives.
• Coordinate building services and integrations to support security operations.
• Embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally.
