Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to strengthen our security posture across cloud environments and on-premises systems. You will drive automation, build secure by default workflows, and partner with engineering to enable scalable, secure infrastructure at scale.

You will own IAM/RBAC, implement security tooling (SIEM/SOAR), and contribute to incident response, threat detection, and compliance efforts while balancing developer productivity and risk management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SecOps, DevSecOps, or cloud security.
• Hands-on security engineer focused on automation.
• Experience managing cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI) and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD and SecOps workflows (Git, Terraform).
• Experience with infrastructure automation, network segmentation, system hardening, observability.
• Proficient in Golang and/or Python.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to leadership on security risks.
• Harden cloud environments with secure-by-default controls.
• Own secure infrastructure design through IaC modules.
• Manage IAM/RBAC and unify access control across the board.
• Deploy and operate SIEM, SOAR, monitoring, endpoint, and cloud security tools.
• Respond to incidents and harden environments post-incident.
• Support monitoring for compliance initiatives.
• Analyze security metrics and drive cross-team collaboration.
• Partner with engineering to deliver scalable security solutions with minimal friction.
