Cohere, a security-focused enterprise AI company, seeks a Senior Security Operations Engineer to harden cloud environments and automate security controls at scale. You will work with AWS, OCI, GCP and Kubernetes, integrating SIEM/SOAR and driving secure-by-default infrastructure.

You are a hands-on security engineer with 5+ years in SecOps or DevSecOps, familiar with Terraform, CI/CD, and cross-team collaboration to minimize risk while enabling engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SecOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or related security engineering role.
• Hands-on security engineer focusing on automating controls and scalable solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI) and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and SecOps workflows (Git, Terraform) in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to leadership by articulating security risks.
• Harden cloud environments with secure-by-default controls.
• Own secure infrastructure design and reusable IaC modules.
• Manage IAM/RBAC and streamline authentication/authorization.
• Deploy and operationalize security tools (SIEM, SOAR, monitoring).
• Respond to security incidents and harden environments post-incident.
• Support monitoring and remediation for compliance initiatives.
• Analyze security metrics and collaborate with engineering teams to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with engineering to balance security with pragmatism.
