Job summary

HealthPartners' Methodist Hospital seeks a Senior Security Officer to lead patrols, respond to incidents, and mentor staff on safety best practices.

The role includes acting as the primary Field Training Officer, coordinating training at the New Security Officer Training Academy, managing emergency responses, and ensuring policy compliance to protect patients, visitors, colleagues, and property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year security experience at HealthPartners or a related setting.
• Two-year degree in a relevant field, or a relevant certification, or equivalent healthcare security experience.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and IAHSS Basic Certification (or obtain within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Patrols, monitors security systems, assesses hazards, and protects patients, staff and visitors.
• Serves as primary Field Training Officer, conducts hands-on instruction and maintains training records.
• Leads emergency and threat responses, coordinates team interventions and de-escalation efforts.
• Investigates incidents, completes reports, enforces policies, and supports documentation accuracy.
