Job summary

CGL Electronic Security, Inc. is hiring a Licensed Technician “Team Leader” to install and service access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems across the Westwood/Greater Boston area.

You will guide junior technicians, manage installations from start to finish, and ensure customer satisfaction with reliable service. You should have 3+ years in security system work, a clean driver’s license, and hands-on experience with Software House and Genetec.

Qualifications

• 3+ years servicing, installing, or programming access control systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Previous experience with Software House (required).
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working at heights and handling hand/power tools as needed.
• Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
• Solid communication skills; you'll be dealing directly with customers.
• Advanced technical skills related to electronic security and video surveillance systems.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Installation of access control systems from start to finish, including but not limited to Software House, Genetec, S2 Systems, Openpath, DSC, and Honeywell.
• Installation and service of video surveillance solutions including Genetec, Exacq, Milestone, etc.
• Hardware device installations including readers, electric locking hardware, exit devices, power supplies, etc.
• Perform IP network configuration for video surveillance and access control systems.
• Maintain certifications for camera and access control systems.
• Provide excellent service to every customer, every time.
• Respond to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency/after-hours calls (on-call rotates).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems with security, access control, and video systems.
• Program and configure system software.
• Fill out clear, accurate service reports after every job.
• Use hand and power tools and work at heights on a ladder or lift when needed.
• Represent CGL as the customer's go-to service provider — showing up on time.
