Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is seeking a Senior Manager of Information Security Engineering to lead a blended team in designing, implementing, and maturing security controls across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments. Responsibilities include aligning with the NIST CSF, governance standards, and regulatory expectations to protect critical data and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop security engineering employees and contractors; set objectives and review performance.
• Own security engineering strategy, roadmap, backlog, budget inputs, and delivery commitments.
• Define engineering quality practices, infrastructure as code, testing, and secure configuration.
• Provide concise reporting on roadmap progress, material risks, and recommendations to leadership.

Education
