Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior Cloud, AI & Data Security Engineer in Chicago to design and implement security solutions across AWS, Azure, and AI/ML platforms. You will lead governance, automate controls, and embed security into CI/CD, working with Cloud Engineering and data teams to safeguard data and models.

You will assess threats, mitigate AI-specific risks, and apply security across cloud services, data stores, and ML pipelines while collaborating with risk, legal, and product

Qualifications

• A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience developing and implementing security architectures and/or engineering across cloud, data, and/or AI security domains.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or equivalent cloud security certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, implement, automate, and document security solutions for AWS and Azure.
• Develop and maintain security patterns for cloud platforms and services, ensuring best practices.
• Define security baseline controls for Cloud Services integrated into CI/CD processes.
• Build policies as code and automate security controls.
• Review and approve code changes with security implications; act as cloud security SME.
• Lead and mentor within Cloud Engineering on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS implementations.
• Define and implement a security framework for AI/ML systems across the model lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data science and AI teams to integrate security into MLOps.
