Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to act as technical lead for day-to-day security operations, vulnerability management, and RMF/ATO support across enterprise environments. This on-site role requires coordinating with ISSM, program leadership, and technical teams to maintain a strong security posture at the customer site in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience with security requirements from front to back ends across systems.
Experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange and network services.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate day-to-day security operations and set priorities for the team.
Provide technical leadership to security personnel and engineering teams.
Lead vulnerability management from discovery through remediation and documentation.
Coordinate remediation across Windows, Linux, network, and desktop support teams; provide hands-on support.
Oversee vulnerability scanning with ACAS/Tenable/Nessus and confirm remediation.
Support RMF/ATO activities including control evidence, BoE, and NIST SP 800-53 alignment.
