Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions seeks a Staff Cyber Security Engineer (TS/SCI) to support the DIA-NDOC DOMEX DTP contract in Bethesda, MD. You will partner with systems, software, and operations teams to secure cloud-based architectures and containerized applications while supporting RMF, IATT/ATO packages, and SIEM tools.

The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT levels, Linux hardening, and extensive experience securing Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Assurance, Engineering, or related technical discipline and 8-12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8570/IAT certifications and one IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, CISSP) and Linux+ certification.
• 5+ years of experience hardening Linux hosts and applying DISA STIG.
• Experience securing Kubernetes platforms and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and containers.
• Experience developing ATO/IA packages and working within RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and provide feedback on system cybersecurity artifacts and BOE results.
• Perform periodic vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and compliance scanning for cloud-based systems.
• Implement and manage security controls for containerized apps and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, infrastructure, and software teams to ensure secure coding practices.
• Develop automation scripts for STIG compliance and continuous monitoring.
