Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to serve as the technical lead for day-to-day security activities supporting enterprise and isolated environments. This role provides technical leadership for security operations, vulnerability management, RMF/ATO support and continuous monitoring, guiding a team across infrastructure and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing security controls on network services and Windows/Linux environments.
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certs (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) or equivalent.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations and assign activities.
• Provide technical leadership to security personnel and engineers.
• Lead vulnerability management from identification to remediation.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, and networks.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning with ACAS/Nessus and validate results.
• Ensure RMF/ATO activities and documentation compliance.
• Review security logs with SIEM (Splunk) and monitor events.
• Mentor security staff and drive repeatable security processes.
