Rainmaker is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to embed security into software and hardware development and field operations. You will write production code, enforce secure defaults across AWS and company systems, and safeguard scientific data and aircraft/field systems.

You will automate routine controls, run security checks in pipelines, and partner with engineers to keep secure workflows usable and scalable. This role emphasizes practical risk reduction and reliable operations.

Formación

• Strong security engineering experience in production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to implement secure-by-default infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Map critical systems, data flows, and access paths and translate risks into actionable plans.
• Build reusable, secure-by-default AWS infrastructure with least-privilege access and logging.
• Review designs, implement authentication/authorization patterns, and remediate vulnerabilities at the source.
• Automate provisioning, rotation of secrets, and audit trails across systems.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD to catch secrets and vulnerable deps before release.
• Develop detections and automate evidence gathering for investigations.
• Collaborate with aircraft/field teams on secure remote access and intermittent connectivity.
• Document security automation for maintenance by others.
• Simplify controls to reduce alert fatigue and manual workload.
